KINGSTON, Jamaica — Olympic and World Championship silver medallist Kishane Thompson will headline a star-studded field as he opens his 2026 season in the men’s 60m at the Puma Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Fuller-Anderson Development Meet at GC Foster College on Saturday.
The men’s 60m will feature nine heats, run as timed finals, with Thompson set to clash with Bryan Levell, the reigning World Championship 200m bronze medallist. Also lining up are rising talents Gary Card, Ackeem Blake, Rohan Watson, and Guyana’s Emmanuel Archibald of Swept Track Club.
Thompson, who owns a personal best of 6.48 seconds over 60m, will be closely watched as fans gauge his early-season form. Blake of Dynamic Track enters as the fastest man in the field on paper with a personal best of 6.42 seconds, making him the one to beat. Levell, with a best of 6.59 seconds, will be eager to lower his mark and make a strong statement.
Adding further depth to the men’s lineup are former high school standouts Dejour Russell (Swept), Adrian Kerr (Dynamic Track), Jeevan Newby (UTech), and national 400m hurdles ace Roshawn Clarke.
The women’s 60m is also shaping up to be a thrilling contest. MVP standout Tia Clayton (PB 7.14) will square off against relay teammate Jonielle Smith (7.18), alongside Natasha Morrison (7.09) and Serena Cole (7.20). The field is further strengthened by Barbados’ Sadia Williams (7.24) and Kishawn Niles (7.12).
With elite performers and emerging stars sharing the track, Saturday’s meet promises fast times and an exciting early preview of the 2026 athletics season.
