Dancehall entertainer KipRich and his partner, content creator Kizzy Don, are enduring a deeply emotional and challenging period following the premature birth of their baby daughter while abroad.
The couple’s child, Miracle, was born early last Friday in Colombia, arriving at just six months and one week into the pregnancy. KipRich revealed that Miracle weighed approximately one and a half pounds at birth and has since been receiving specialised medical care. She currently remains in an incubator as doctors continue to monitor her condition.
Sharing the news publicly, the entertainer—whose legal name is Marlon Plunkett—said the baby is stable but admitted the experience has been overwhelming for both him and his 28-year-old partner. He disclosed that the birth occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on January 16. While Kizzy is physically recovering well, he said the emotional toll has been significant.
“It’s her first child, so sometimes she breaks down crying,” KipRich shared, adding that prayer has been their main source of strength. The couple has asked the public to keep them in their prayers and said they have been encouraged by the outpouring of support they’ve received.
The pregnancy had been progressing normally, with an expected due date in April. However, circumstances changed just days after the couple travelled to Colombia, where KipRich was scheduled to perform in San Andres on January 17. He had previously told fans that he would not be travelling without Kizzy, but their trip quickly turned into a medical emergency when she went into early labour.
KipRich said their immediate priority is ensuring their daughter receives the best possible care. He noted that they are uncertain about when they will be able to return home, as discussions are ongoing about possibly transferring the baby to another island with more advanced neonatal facilities.
The couple’s relationship has been closely followed on social media since going public. While some initially questioned its authenticity, KipRich and Kizzy continued to share personal moments that gradually won over supporters.
Kizzy, born Danielle Banton, announced the pregnancy with KipRich on Christmas Day through a maternity photoshoot and video. Since then, she has openly shared her journey into motherhood, describing the first trimester as challenging but praising KipRich for his unwavering support. The pair have also hinted at future marriage plans.
Following news of Miracle’s premature birth, fans have rallied around the couple, sending messages of love, encouragement, and prayers as they navigate this difficult chapter together.
